Community Engagement and Organizing

Ron began his career community organizing. He was shaped early as community organizer on the south and west of Chicago.

As Deputy Director of Mutual Housing of California he transformed a resident services focused department into a resident empowerment effort that led to a dramatic increase in resident led programs and resident power on local issues.

Ron trains and coaches people and organizations in Asset Based Community Organizing – a collaborative, strength based approach to building community and developing resident based power. He also works with local governments that want to increase the quality and authenticity of their community engagement efforts.
